IronGate technician inspecting a Galveston County home
Are your treatments safe for my kids and pets?+

Yes. We use EPA-registered products applied in targeted, low-residual placements — cracks, crevices, baseboards, and the exterior perimeter — not blanket fogging. In most cases kids and pets can re-enter treated areas once the product is dry, usually 30–60 minutes. Your technician will give you a specific re-entry window for every product used before they leave.

Do I need to leave my home during the treatment?+

For standard interior and exterior pest control, no — you can stay home. We only ask that you and pets stay out of the specific rooms or areas being treated until the product dries. Larger jobs like wildlife exclusions, heavy rodent work, or attic treatments don't require you to leave either, but we'll tell you up front if any part of the visit needs a temporary clear-out.

What should I do to prep before you arrive?+

Very little. Pull pet food and water bowls off the floor, cover or move fish tanks (and turn off the air pump for 30 minutes after we treat nearby), put away open food, and give us clear access to baseboards, the garage, and the exterior perimeter. If we're treating for fleas or bed bugs, we'll send you a specific prep checklist when we book.

Can you tell me what kind of bug or animal I'm dealing with?+

Yes — pest ID is part of every inspection. Send us a photo of the bug, droppings, or damage when you book and we'll usually identify it before we arrive. On site we confirm the species and life stage (eggs, nymphs, adults) so the treatment actually matches the pest.

Where are these pests coming from?+

Most infestations trace back to a small number of entry points: gaps around plumbing and AC penetrations, weep holes, soffit and roofline gaps, garage door seals, and torn screens. Part of every service is finding those entry points and recommending exclusion repairs so the same pest can't keep walking back in.

How fast can you get to my property?+

Most service calls in Galveston County are scheduled the same day or next morning. Emergency wildlife situations — bats in a bedroom, snakes inside, an animal stuck in a wall — are prioritized.

How long until the pests are gone?+

It depends on the pest. Wasps, ants, and roaches usually drop off within a few days of the first treatment. Rodents and fleas typically take 2–4 weeks and may need a follow-up. Wildlife removal continues until traps are clear and entry points are sealed. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start — not a guess.

Why am I still seeing bugs right after you sprayed?+

That's normal and usually a good sign. Treatments flush pests out of wall voids and harborage areas, so activity often spikes for 7–14 days before it crashes. Don't clean treated baseboards or perimeter bands during that window — you'll wipe the product off. If activity is still heavy after two weeks, call us and we'll come back out.

How much does service cost?+

Pricing depends on your property — home size, lot size, and which service you need. Instead of quoting a vague range here, we built an instant quote tool that gives you a real number in seconds with no phone call required. Enter your address in the “Get your Free Pest Control Quote in Seconds” bar at the top of any page, or head to our quote page directly.

What does your guarantee cover?+

If the pests we treated for come back between scheduled services, we come back at no charge. For wildlife exclusion repairs, we guarantee the sealed entry points against re-entry by the same species. We'll spell out the specific guarantee in writing on your service agreement.

Do I have to sign up for recurring service?+

No. We offer one-time treatments for almost every service we provide. Recurring quarterly service is cheaper per visit and is the only way we can stand behind a year-round, pest-free guarantee — but it's your call, not a requirement to work with us.

Can I just treat this myself with store-bought products?+

For a single wasp nest, a few ants on the counter, or an occasional spider — sure, over-the-counter products are fine. Where DIY usually fails is recurring roach or rodent activity, fleas, bed bugs, anything in a wall or attic, and any wildlife issue (which is also regulated in Texas). If you've already tried a store-bought product twice and the problem is still there, that's the point to call a pro.

Do you offer humane wildlife removal?+

Yes. We trap, remove, and relocate wildlife using methods that meet Texas Parks & Wildlife guidelines, then seal the entry points with galvanized mesh, flashing, and chew-proof materials so it doesn't happen again.
